Meeting Aesclepius

I did the meditations this week and they helped very much with anexity of starting my new job and also stress with my little one not wanting to take his bottle anymore and me having to take him to daycare! I imagined my grandparents who passed a couple years ago in this mediation they were both very insightful people so full of knowledge, life and of course so much love!  I see them as my angels watching over me and my family =) "One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself". I think this is very important to health and wellness professionals because I would not want a doctor telling me what is best and I should try this or that when he has no idea how it works from experience because they have not tried it their selves. I can implement more spiritual growth in my personal by mediating more out in nature, by taking a minute to sit in silence and enjoy my surrounds.

  1. That is great the meditation exercise helped you relax despite all of the stressful events that took place this week! Do you think your anxiety level would have been much different if you had not completed the meditation exercise?

I completely agree with you in regard to the saying. No one wants to listen to someone who is hypocritical. It reminds me of the saying, "do as I say not as I do." That is exactly the opposite mindset a health and wellness professional should have.

Meditating in nature is a great way to increase spiritual growth. The great thing about meditation is that it can be used to develop both psychological and spiritual health.

  2. It is great that this exercise helped you in a stressful situation. I totally agree with you about not wanting to take advice from someone who has no idea what you are going through. Experience is the greatest teacher. Your grandparents sound like they were wonderful! Having warm memories of them must bring great comfort to you. Just being out in nature is soothing for me. Hiking through the woods or sitting by the ocean helps me think things through and also lulls me into complacency. In our society, I don't think people take enough time to "stop and smell the roses". It would definitely help people to do this more.
